After the Storm

So we had a "Wind Event," Thursday and Friday.  I'm not sure how fast our gust were it wasn't as bad as they said it would be at least here for us.  Some other parts of the Coast got it much worse I'm sure.  I can hear a pounding going on outside and I just opened the front door to hear where it's coming from maybe my neighbors playing their car stereo loud again.  But no, it's coming from the Ocean it is so loud.  The surf is suppose to be 20' swells I should have went down to the jetty today to look but I was raining all day and I don't like to get that wet.

Not too much damage to the newly covered row tunnels.

There sprouting up.  Soon my lovely tulips and ranunculus will be here.

Busy as a Beaver

Time to cover them up

Look what the Beaver have been up to

Their favorite willow.   They come back year after year and do their pruning.  They are do to start pruning.

We are so blessed to live besides a lake and enjoy all the wildlife.  The green house below is just above a little hill that then runs into the lake.

The green house is covered!  Tulips are coming up

Euc trees are getting too tall and will be trimmed back soon

Happy New Years! Today was just like Spring

What a New Year's surprise.  The sunrise was beautiful and the rest of the day followed with mild temps and sun.  It was 55 deg. and the birds where singing.  I got more ranunculus planted see photos.  I have been tucking them everywhere.

Ranunculus waiting to be planted

Little ranunculus corms all tucked in

No your eyes are not blurry this is the reflection of the tree in the water I thought it was cool
