Mother's Day Flower Extravaganza

Every Mother in the County must be getting some form of flower this Sunday.  The stores are packed with  hanging baskets, potted plants, cut flowers etc.  I have been picking flowers for two days straight to keep all my customers supplied with flowers, even a baby shower and a wedding.

I was able to snap some photos

After the Storm

So we had a "Wind Event," Thursday and Friday.  I'm not sure how fast our gust were it wasn't as bad as they said it would be at least here for us.  Some other parts of the Coast got it much worse I'm sure.  I can hear a pounding going on outside and I just opened the front door to hear where it's coming from maybe my neighbors playing their car stereo loud again.  But no, it's coming from the Ocean it is so loud.  The surf is suppose to be 20' swells I should have went down to the jetty today to look but I was raining all day and I don't like to get that wet.

Not too much damage to the newly covered row tunnels.

There sprouting up.  Soon my lovely tulips and ranunculus will be here.

I'm Finished! Finished with planting ranunculus that is....

Let me show you what they will look like.....

Or something like that.  Some are poking their way up already.  The greenhouse has been fixed and plastic is on.  Tulips should be making their way up soon also.

Happy New Years! Today was just like Spring

What a New Year's surprise.  The sunrise was beautiful and the rest of the day followed with mild temps and sun.  It was 55 deg. and the birds where singing.  I got more ranunculus planted see photos.  I have been tucking them everywhere.
