I just love these little tulips, they are the side bulbs that normally get picked off  to make the bulb bigger.  I put them in the bouquet above for the coffee shop

Daffodils and Hyacinths

What a busy day today.  Going all day: picking flowers, transplanting, building a hoop house, dug some dahlias and the list goes on..........................................................

A chorus of frogs serenaded me all day and I could hear the ocean in the distance.  It truly was a fabulous day even if I am slow to get up.

The weather was nice for here on the Coast.  No sun, but a surprisingly 50 degrees with no wind all day.  Those ice cycles you see are lights and not real ones.

They smell as beautiful as they look

Lots of Daf's today

Ooh...little pink muscari

Hyacinths all ready to go

My husband got all the posts dug and set.

Tulips, Daffodils, Seedlings, Greenhouses

First handful of the season

Daff's for the Bakery tomorrow and I'll put in those beautiful Tulips.  I love those milk glasses vases.

Trying to grow plants this time of year by fluorescent lighting, heat optional.  Once the plants came up they needed to go off the heating bed to make room for more trays of seeds.  So my husband insulated a shelf in the shop with lights to keep them growing until the SEE BELOW, yes the greenhouse is done.

All four corners or cemented in!  Despite the threat of snow, it was actually a nice day.  With no wind it was a nice 41 degrees between rain showers.

First crop of seeds are up!

I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new greenhouse.  It will be 20X60'  and I just can't wait to fill it full of plants.  It will be here on Monday.

My first crop of seeds are up and thanks to my husband for building me a propagation rack I have jam packed it with trays.  I still have more trays to go.  Once my green house is up and I will put in a special bed for the seedlings.  But for now I will have to limp along.

It is pretty cold out side staying in the 45 deg. range during the day not to mention all the rain.  So I look out my window at the daffodils making their way up and tah-dah my first bouquet of dafs for 2012!

My kids and flowers

I just love taking pictures of my kids and flowers.  These flowers are from years gone by but the memory remains.

My Sweet Pea with a handful of sweet peas.  If you look behind her right should  you'll see  a super hero.

Mom I think this one smells good!
