Ready, Set, Go

I am working in the "ready," stage right now, propagation beds in full swing, hundreds of seedlings are up and growing.  I have been busy, busy, my husband finished the drip system in the greenhouse after I re-arranged everything and so he had to re-do his work from last year.  More seeds have been ordered and I think that will be my last order of the season unless I get crazy again.

Updates in greenhouse

This years craze for me:

Bombay Yellow Gold (Pelleted) celosia 'Bombay' SeriesBombay Pink (Pelleted) Bombay Purple (Pelleted)

This celosia is out of this world.  Totally new to me but I think now that I have my "Super Greenhouse," I can grow it.

Lathyrus odoratus 'Olive D', a scented sweet pea 'Olive' my new sweet pea  Lathyrus odoratus 'Nimbus', a dramatic stripe sweet pea 'Nimbus' oh, the beautiful bouquets I can make with these beauties

Lathyrus odoratus 'Limelight', a high quality green sweet pea 'Limelight' these seeds I sent for from Owls Acre Sweet Peas in England.  The English are great at sweet pea cultivation and I read good things about this company.

And.... succulents I have collected so many in the last month they are now coming out my ears.

I have also been working on my new website.  If anyone has ever use Word Press to create their website you may have a good experience or you watch a lot of You Tube videos on how to do a gallery.  You can view it at www.erikasfreshflowers.com, keep in mind I have more tweaks to do to it.

  1. So can't wait to see those sweet peas in arrangements! The celosia was fairly easy and they seem to bloom forever. Wow, you are doing succulents too. I would love to add those but don't know where to put them. Must build more hoop houses. Psst don't say that to Farmer Tony.

  2. Checked out your new website, it looks super great, nice colors, great text! One thing that might be confusing for someone is your pinterest site is under your name and not Erika's Fresh Flowers. I was confused at first who was who until I met you. Just a thought. Looks great!!!
